As offshore drilling continues to evolve, operators in Norway are making a notable shift in their approach to intermediate casing centralization. Traditionally a stage where low-cost welded or mechanical centralizers were sufficient, the intermediate section is now being reimagined—driven by changing well profiles and more challenging trajectories. The result? A nearly 230% increase in demand for Centek’s 20” S2 ultra strong bow spring centralizer in the past 10 years in Norway.

The Centek S2 20” centralizer is engineered for the most demanding offshore environments and rigorously tested to exceed API 10D 7th Edition standards. Available in slip-on or hinged configurations with 24” or 26” nominal IDs, the S2 outperforms expectations—achieving 10% and 15% above the minimum API stand-off requirements for the 20 x 24” and 20 x 26” configurations respectively, both with zero starting force.

With exceptional restoring force and proven mechanical strength, the S2 maintains stand-off even in high-inclination or restricted sections, holding heavy casing off the wellbore where performance matters most.
