Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias)

Position Summary:

This position encompasses carrying out total planned maintenance (TPM) tasks whilst prioritizing immediate breakdowns, using fault finding methods and root cause analysis to resolve breakdowns, and assisting the Engineering department with machine builds.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Follow and develop Maintenance schedule.
  • Keep Maintenance Log up to date.
  • Ensure all machines are operational for all production Business units.
  • Assist with daily TPM.
  • Assist in machine continuous improvement (CI) projects as identified.
  • Carry out electrical installation and modification work in a safe and responsible fashion whilst always adhering to H&S rules and regulations. 
  • Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement: ensure machine maintenance manuals are kept up to date to adhere to ISO quality standard requirements.
  • Monthly site inspections to ensure electrical compliance and allow for proactive planning of electrical maintenance work.

Technical/Work Based Competencies:

  • Edition Electrical Regulations Qualification (to be kept up to date)
    • PAT Testing
  • Ability to perform well in a team-based environment
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and use technical equipment
  • Working on distribution boards
  • City & Guilds 2391-51 (level 3) inspection & Testing of Electrical Installations
  • Good numeracy and computer skills

Hours of work: 6am – 4pm (Monday to Thursday) Flexible
