Job Description
The role entails working as a member of the larger Centek team in support of Manufacturing and Engineering. You will be responsible for programming Trumpf lasers for production, R&D, tooling and other miscellaneous items. A certain amount of operating and loading of programs onto machines will be required. The ability to work independently to deadlines in a busy department, adapting to changing workloads, is essential.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Programming Trumpf lasers to support production and other areas of the business.
- Ensuring laser programs have correct batch numbers
- Working with Excel Spreadsheets.
- Deciphering engineering drawings and using software to plan nesting, using Tru-Tops laser programming software.
- Liaising with other departments to ensure production plan is met.
- Working with Production Plan to ensure correct products are cut.
- Attending staff meetings as required.
- Monitoring and auditing stock levels of both products and steel visibility using the Winman System.
- Assisting with CI projects
Technical/Work Based Competencies:
- Ability to work with Excel Spreadsheets and Microsoft Office

- Familiarity with CNC systems

Reporting to: Production Manager/Supervisor
Hours of work: Days: 40 hours 6am – 4pm (Monday to Thursday)
